The Waiheke Explorer Bus stops a comfortable 4 minute walk from the Lodge on level unsealed road. Ferries to meet this tour departs Auckland every 30 minutes from 9.00am to 4.30pm daily. 

Tours start at 9.50am from Matiatia and run every 30 minutes until the last drop off at Matiatia is at 6.40pm. 

 Around the Waiheke Lodge

The Fullers passenger ferry service runs half-hourly in summer from downtown Auckland (Britomart) to Waiheke and back - see timetable and also from Devonport. 

Take a scenic flight direct from the Waiheke Lodge or arrive in style with Waiheke Wings leaving from Auckland Airport, Ardmore or North Shore just a 10-20 minute flight away and stroll to the Lodge. The private grass airstrip is very quiet and does not operate after sunset.

Waiheke Shuttles are regulars to the Lodge, they have three modern air-conditioned 23 seat coaches, a modern air-conditioned 13 seat van and an 11 seat van with large luggage area. Our guest have paid compliments about this company for having professional courteous and knowledgeable drivers.

Just a 5 minute stroll from the Waiheke Lodge is the Batch Winery which produces quality Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Flora plus wonderful food and has amazing views.

The Waiheke Lodge is on the Te Ara Hura Track which runs around Waiheke (red line). You can walk or mountain bike ride all around Waiheke from the Lodge. Many tracks are being shared with mountain bikes as a trial by Auckland Council. The Waiheke Mountain Bike Club web site has lots of information to help you plan your trip.

Roll out on the e-bikes designed specifically to get up and around the island. Get an early start, strap your gear onto the bike and get on your way. See u back around the sunset hour. For for corporate team events, we can arrange for bikes to be delivered directly to the Lodge.

Waiheke Lodge

Waiheke Wine Tours provide custom bespoke tours to suit any budget, event or occasion. Ideal for groups staying at the Waiheke Lodge. They have 4 or 5 hour tours and can suggest somewhere for lunch or dinner.

The Lodge is next to the Whakanewha regional park

with fabulous bush walks. Whakanewha is Maori meaning "to shade the eyes from the setting sun". When you have seen the sunsets from the lodge,

you will see how the park got its name. The long sweeping beach here has sheltered swimming with a

panoramic bush backdrop, a great place for a picnics with quiet benches and tables.

Waiheke

Sealink offer vehicle and passenger ferry options from Half Moon Bay and Wynyard Quarter to Kennedy Point on Waiheke Island (a 15 minute drive from The Lodge). Group discounts and charter options for exclusive use are also available including weddings.
